It’s not often you can make a difference to history – but our Priory volunteers do just that!

Volunteers contribute to The Priory in all sorts of ways; getting stuck in in the garden, supporting our schools programme, bringing the site alive for visitors and helping out at our special events.

We’re always keen to welcome new skills and new ideas. You can volunteer regularly or just for one offs – so if you can spare some time we’d love to hear from you.

All our volunteers are given training and ongoing support and it’s a great way to meet people, learn more about local history and make a real contribution to this very special place.

“Once you have explored the Priory (birthplace of the town of Birkenhead) then why not discover the rest of the Wirral Peninsula?.

All the places marked on the map have information at their site about the area, there is much more to explore on Wirral, this is just to get you started, as a visitor you will need to come back again as there is too much to explore and see in one visit.
