Volunteers contribute to The Priory in all sorts of ways; getting stuck in in the garden, supporting our schools programme, bringing the site alive for visitors and helping out at our special events.
We’re always keen to welcome new skills and new ideas. You can volunteer regularly or just for one offs – so if you can spare some time we’d love to hear from you.
All our volunteers are given training and ongoing support and it’s a great way to meet people, learn more about local history and make a real contribution to this very special place.
“ The Volunteers are a great team and we all seem to gain personal satisfaction assisting the Wirral Staff Members. I am proud to be a member of the team and look forward to meeting many more visitors to the Priory.”
” I came upon an appeal for Priory Volunteers, subsequent to the renovation work being carried out as a result of the Lottery Heritage Fund. This was a win win situation! Not only was I able to join a team of people who all had various qualities and knowledge to contribute, but I was able to pursue my personal local history study from the inside.”
Phil Hales has made a Map of the Wirral Peninsula to share with visitors:
All the places marked on the map have information at their site about the area, there is much more to explore on Wirral, this is just to get you started, as a visitor you will need to come back again as there is too much to explore and see in one visit.
We look forward to welcoming you back to our beautiful and diverse peninsula.”
