There's loads to do this summer at the Priory!
From Wednesday 3rd August, families visiting the Priory will be able to enjoy the following activities:
‘Eye Spy’ Nature Trail. What will you discover living around our 12th century grounds? £2.00 per child includes magnifying glass, pencil & trail pack.
Historical Costume selfies. Transform into a medieval Lord or Lady, a monk, a Tudor princess, a Prior, a Victorian servant, a Bishop or a WW2 Fire Guard! There’s a backdrop and mirror to capture your new look from every angle! Located inside the monk’s refectory. Free.
Children’s photography competition. The Priory is a fascinating site for children to explore and capture with their camera/phone camera. There’ll be a display of all photographs submitted inside the Monk’s Refectory and on Facebook, and a prize for the winner.
Stone and grave rubbings. Inside the monk’s refectory. Free
Don’t forget to also climb the steps of St Mary’s Tower for spectacular views of the Mersey. And make a day of it by bringing a picnic to enjoy in the grounds!
Our summer opening hours are:
Saturday & Sunday 10am-5pm
We hope to see you soon!
