Runaways. Fairies. Goblins. WATER PISTOLS!?! Look out, it’s Rubbish Shakespeare!
After 2018’s sell-out ‘Romeo and Juliet’ – and due to popular demand – the Rubbish Shakespeare Company return to Birkenhead Priory and St Mary’s Tower for another anarchic outdoor summer performance.
This time, our madcap troupe of four have the Bard’s impish tale of forbidden love and pixies in their sights.
Their plan, to stage the greatest edition of the Dream ever seen, complete “with magic in it and everything”. Will they succeed? Of course not – they’re ‘Rubbish!’ Sit back, recline on your picnic blanket, and watch on, as our four hapless idiots fail spectacularly for an hour for your amusement.
Full of high-octane slapstick action and mischievous storytelling, this vibrant reimagining promises belly laughs for all ages. Expect a trail of wigs, bubble guns, life-size cardboard cutouts, and a frankly pitiful attempt at roller skating. Your kids will love it, and you will too.
Age guidance: (4+).
Tickets available via Eventbrite (click here). Babes in arms free. £10 adults, £7.50 concessions, £30 family ticket (x4).
